We arrived back in Australia in January 2009 to commence a five month refit in Brisbane.

The refit was extensive including a total repaint of the vessel. All pumps, motors, compressors, winches water makers etc. were overhauled or renewed. The machinery was upgraded to the latest technology including the bridge equipment and a seamless transfer and synchronisation of the two 99kw Northern Light generators. The galley had a make over as did all the soft furnishings, carpets and headlining - even the tapware was replated in gold in all 10 cabins and day heads on the vessel.

The overall effect is that she now truly does look better than brand new and operationally the boat is running better than when she was new!

Once relaunched and restocked we left Brisbane on 29 May 2009 for beautiful Hamilton Island and the Whitsundays. We will be enjoying the Hamilton Island/Cairns region up until early September when we plan to make our way to Darwin, Broome and the unique Kimberley Coast. December will see us heading out of Australia to discover the beauty of Asia, and from there, who knows?.....
